Forecasting and scenarios

A revenue forecast, plus a scenario tool so the team could change the assumptions and see the effect themselves.

Integrated reporting

Six ad platforms, one warehouse, reports in one run

A pipeline that loads six ad platforms into one warehouse, an operator dashboard the campaign team uses daily, and 73 of 74 campaign reports assembled in a single run.

Survey research

6,000 open answers sorted into seven themes

Open-text answers from a national opinion survey, coded into seven themes with AI assistance, then counted and reported. Part of 7,400+ survey answers coded across clients.

Who supplies dashboard and reporting work to the Commonwealth

A procurement analysis from public data: every dashboard, BI and reporting contract published on AusTender since October 2023, grouped by supplier. The contracts mix one-off builds, ongoing reporting services and labour hire paid by time, so they are not like-for-like with a fixed-scope package. Hover a dot for the supplier, or move the split where the lines cross.

Packages

Each package is a defined scope: the data it assumes, what you receive, a review at the working version, and acceptance criteria agreed before work starts. Start with the free prototype: your own published data, working, before you commit to anything.

Table 1. Packages

Reporting pipelineData pulled, cleaned, checked and loaded on a schedule, feeding a live dashboard. Sized by the number of sources.4 to 6 weeksHalf at the working version,
half on handover
Run and supportMonitoring of scheduled refreshes, fixes to anything I built, and changes: up to one or two days a month. Issues acknowledged within one business day.MonthlyMonthly in arrears

Time runs from the signed-off scope to handover, handover included. Discovery, when a project needs it, is the separate one-week package. Prices exclude GST. Work outside the packages is A$1,600 a day for scoping, design and analysis, and A$1,200 a day for the build.

How this meets the usual evaluation criteria

Copy any row into your value-for-money note. Where a row says commitment, it is a term written into the scope; every other row links to something you can check now.

Who does the work

Me, Gus Dantas. A decade of data analysis, the last eight years in Sydney across two media agencies and a retail media network, for clients in finance, retail, consumer goods, health and the non-profit sector. It started with research in data analysis during a degree in mechatronics engineering, then a master's in applied IT.

You deal with the person who builds it, from the first call to the handover.

  1. AusTender contract notices published 16 Oct 2023 to 20 Oct 2026, read from the public OCDS API. Figure 5 keeps the 131 contracts whose description names dashboards, BI, reporting, visualisation, Tableau or Qlik, including labour hire for those roles. Amendments are merged. Typical value and length are medians.
  2. FuelCheck monthly price history files, October 2025 to September 2026. Sydney means postcodes 2000 to 2234 and 2740 to 2786. Each day takes every station's latest U91 price and the median across stations.
  3. AEMO price and demand files for the NSW1 region, October 2025 to September 2026. Each five-minute price is assigned to the hour it starts in, then averaged.
  4. The avocado at the top of the page is a model, not a measurement. One Shepard's outline is sampled on a 120 by 144 grid (17,280 points), and each row of the grid is turned into a disc around the fruit's long axis, so the grams come from volume at 0.95 g per cm³, stone included. The skin is taken as 1.5 mm, and a spoon as leaving the first 2 mm of flesh on it; nicking and peeling leaves none. The length (7 to 12 cm) and the stone are yours to set. The firmness stages and the Shepard penetrometer ranges are from Queensland DAF, Assessing fruit firmness through supply chains (December 2021); the fruit counts as ready to eat from firm ripe.
  5. Figure 4: 567 construction contracts awarded by NSW state agencies, April 2023 to February 2025, from the NSW eTendering award notices (OCDS). Each supplier's ABN is matched to its main business postcode in the ABN Bulk Extract, and the postcode to its council through the ABS mesh-block allocation; the Hunter is its ten councils. Business counts are ABS Counts of Australian Businesses, June 2025.
